Moslem Weddings

A moslem wedding ceremony called akad nikah is conducted by a Minister called Penghulu. At the end of this ceremony the newly wed couple will receive certificates called Buku Nikah issued by Moslem Court called KUA (Directorate of Islamic Religion Affairs). The religious wedding ceremony is able to hold in hotel/villa or venue or either in the KUA or Mosque. Witnesses during the ceremony are required and the main one must be a father of a bridegroom or his representative and the other one could be a sibling, relative or friend.
Documents required:
  1. Copy of Passport (both partners if foreigners)
  2. Copy of KTP for Indonesian Citizen
  3. Copy of Birth Certificate (both partners)
  4. Copy of divorce certificate (if applicable)
  5. Copy of death certificate of former spouse (if applicable)
  6. Letter from Moslem Priest in your country addressed to Moslem Priest in Bali declaring that this couple is free to get married
  7. If father of the bride is a moslem, he will be the Wali Nikah of this ceremony
  8. If father of the bride is a non-moslem, he should make a letter declaring that his part will be taken by Wali Hakim
